This title is actually very misleading.
This isnt actually day one.
However, it is Sunday night of my first Half-Week in Longview,
which is similar.
Not really,
But whateva.
I do what I want.
(and cue refrence...)
Anyway, this is definitely what I should be doing this summer.
I'm loving it.
When I first left my boys here last friday, the gravity of coming here for the summer kind of settled on me a little bit,
I'm about to leave my family for the summer,
This is my first summer away from home,
I have no friends for 3 hours from here in any direction,
I dont know anyone here,
East Texas is seriously hotter than any other part of texas-- seriously. 107 last week people.
And, finally, I dont know any of the radio stations here,
or restaraunts.
After being slightly unsettled,
I wont use the words "suddenly terrified and more than slightly overwhelmed",
I returned my original consensus that this is where I need to be.
And is completely is.
Thursday I worked on Monica's tack room, And I can hardly remember what else the day was so full.
Friday I finished cleaning the tack room at the barn.
Brushed hair that was longer and thicker than anything I have ever brushed, including my own
Zues, Monica's Friesian stallion and his incredible hair!
That mane is thick enough that I could literally stand inside it and you wouldn't see my face.
Thickest tail ever
Zues saying hello. I love this guy already, you'd never know he's a stallion, calm as can be.
Shaved a dog, it was both of our first times for that...
Dixie trying to butter me up before I turned on the clippers...
Dixie going dead weight on me thinking I wont be able to shave a limp dog...
And Dixie trying to run after I was able to shave a limp dog..
The Carnage.
and bathed Yorkies.
Anyway.
Consider that a lazy update so it looks like I'm actually doing something.
I feel like I should take a moment reassure you that I'm going to post something that is not equivalent to a children's book relatively soon,
to thrill you with my wit and charm
and excite your mind.
eh maybe.
